Introducing Strandy: Our AI Assistant for Apple Vision Pro
The main highlight of our program was presenting our new application, Forge with Strandy. Its central figure is our innovative AI assistant named Strandy, designed specifically for the Apple Vision Pro environment.
The major advantage of this solution is that our AI assistant runs strictly locally on the hardware. The entire system is powered by an Apple foundation model, which in practice means it requires absolutely no internet connection to function fully. Everything runs offline directly on the device. This approach guarantees total data security, which is crucial especially for corporate clients—they don't have to worry about any sensitive information leaving their headset. Once you put the headset on, the assistant is always available; you can talk to it directly, and it responds immediately.
We also showed visitors practical use cases. Our AI assistant can, for example, generate 3D objects directly in spatial computing. Imagine a situation where someone is giving a presentation in the Apple Vision Pro environment, and based on follow-up questions from the audience, the AI can instantly react, generate stories, build scenes, and make the whole presentation much more gamified and entertaining.
Improvisation and Battling Tropical Weather
Every event brings unexpected challenges, and Fantastická Ostrava was no exception. Due to the tropical temperatures and omnipresent harsh sunlight, we couldn't safely use the headsets outside. There was a real risk of irreversible damage to the lenses and displays, so we had to improvise quickly.
We filmed a festival demo right on the spot and presented it to interested attendees on an iPad. This move ultimately proved to be very useful. We gathered a lot of valuable feedback—both positive and constructive. We will now use these insights for further incremental updates to our application so we can better tailor it to the needs of future customers.
Gaming Inspiration: Warhorse and the Indie Scene
The festival wasn't just about our booth, and we had time to explore the rest of the event. We were very intrigued by the indie studio corner, where we checked out the original Slovak game Bulovačka and several other interesting projects.
We also didn't miss the inspiring talks. We attended a presentation led by Tobias Stolz-Zwilling from Warhorse Studios (focusing mainly on game marketing), who was accompanied by Patrik Bartošík. It was an excellent opportunity to hear experiences from professionals in the big gaming world.
Evening Networking and Future Plans
We wrapped up the highly successful day in a networking pub, gathering with many other exhibitors and visitors. The CEO of Strand Forge, Martin Lahučký, took advantage of the relaxed atmosphere and successfully established valuable industry contacts that we will definitely leverage for our future development. We had great conversations with colleagues from other studios about what everyone is creating and where the tech world is heading.
We are leaving Into the Games with a massive dose of inspiration. Now, we want to fully focus on expanding the project further and showing the world the main advantage of our solution—that a modern and smart AI assistant can operate efficiently, reliably, and, above all, completely safely in offline mode.
